Ok, so time to get down to business!
After a 6 week break we started an actual homeschooling regime yesterday. Last semester it was grumbling and griping each morning as the kids protested "we already did school yesterday!". So, after I showered and pondered when to break it to the kids that it was time to get out our schoolwork, I prayed, took a deep breath and much to my surprise, they were excited!! Today we went to our weekly meeting with other families and during the Latin review I was suprised to discover that Jaydon remembered all of it! We do not review Latin much at home so it was shocking. I am encouraged to continue after wondering, yet again, if I could really really do this.
So, here's to a new year and a new resolution to actually make this blog documenting the home education of my lovely kids. For now, here's a cute pic that has more to do with home than schooling:

This is us.....
Today we started off with some exercise! It's good to get a little energy out of them before we get started.....sorry for the blurry pic, but you get the idea!
In the next picture you will see our kitchen table work. You will notice an added benefit of homeschooling....snacking while working! The kids had has some breakfast, but after our workout, they needed some eggs! They eat alot, don't know what I'll do when they are teenagers!

And it begins!
Well, today we officially began our foray into Classical Education! We are doing a program called Classical Conversations. The added benefit to this particular program is that we get to meet with other families doing the same program once a week! So much fun! Soon I will add pictures of us learning with updates of the kids' progress! Jocelyn is not in the program officially, but she is learning as well. She just started the alphabet! Such a cutie!
